10 Years After

December 17th, 2007 · No Comments

Has it really been 10 years since the blog was invented? Well, back on December 17, 1997, Jorn Barger created a website he called a weblog with links to log his travels on the web. Heres the Wired article about the anniversary. In the article Jorn gives 10 tips for new bloggers. Jorn used it to share links to sites he found useful and he actually thinks del.icio.us is a better “blog” than blogger.com. Blogging has changed dramatically in the decade of it’s existence and now the distinction between a “website” and a “blog” is pretty blurry.

Personally, my earliest experiences with the web were more along the lines of holy $%!@#! it actually loaded on my computer at 14,400bps!
